Women and the Reformation address (Meadville, PA)

SAEGERTOWN — Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, 358 Euclid Ave., celebrates the Protestant reformation that was begun by Martin Luther almost 500 years ago with a keynote speaker.

The Rev. Joy Schroeder will address the public on July 29 in the sanctuary of Twelve Apostles.

Schroeder, who will speak about the women of the reformation, is a professor of theology and religion at Capital University and a professor of church history at Trinity Lutheran Seminary, both in Columbus, Ohio.

The public is invited. Refreshments will be served beginning at 4 p.m. in Apostles Hall prior to the 5 p.m. program and speaker. This program is one of many being offered at member churches of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in celebration of their Reformation 500 recognition.

Summer worship services at Twelve Apostles begin at 9:15 a.m. each Sunday and are led by Pastor Mark Fischer.
