Advent Lutheran Church in Morgan Hill is pleased to announce a special Reformation Hymn Festival titled “Come, Christians, Join to Sing!”. The hymn festival is free and open to the public. Kyle Jones, Advent’s Director of Music and Worship Arts will be leading this unforgettable and moving musical experience.
The evening will include a congregational hymn sing, focusing on a number of Martin Luther’s hymns, as well as choral anthems featuring guest organist Elisabeth Pintar, a professional brass quintet, timpani, and festival choir, including over sixty singers from eight different churches.
This festival choir will be sharing many great hymns of the faith as well as premiering a new hymn and arrangements of texts both old and new that highlight the five “solas” of the reformation. In addition, original artwork inspired by these solas will be on display and shown during the hymn festival.
