Reformation – 500 Years of Music featuring operatic bass-baritone Dale Travis with brass quintet, choir, organ, piano and percussion. The concert will pay tribute, not only to Martin Luther, but also show the lively and ever evolving faith in the Spirit, which gathers the church around the Word and Sacrament. Highlights include the very first congregations hymns, the works of Bach and Handel, some of the most famous songs praising God, giving nod to their creative poems in their native tongues, and the creative devotional spirit in Spirituals and Gospel songs. Audience participation will also be requested on a few hymns. Join us!
