Wyoming Catholics and Lutherans to join in common prayer April 22

Roman Catholics and Lutherans in Wyoming will join together in prayer 500 years after Martin Luther’s 95 Theses triggered the Reformation in 1517.

A service of Common Prayer will begin at 1 p.m. April 22 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 318 E. Sixth St. in Casper.

The Rev. Jim Gonia, bishop of the Rocky Mountain Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, will represent the synod.

Currently the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cheyenne is without a bishop, so an area priest will represent the diocese.
